We took this extraordinary fragrance and removed all of the herbaceous oils and with just the wood and balsamic notes, added Pink Pepper with citrus oils, Mandarin and Bergamont with a floral Freesia. How Vétiver Obscur was composed
The brief was a single word — graphite. Our perfumer worked from a Haitian vetiver harvested in the Les Cayes plain, where volcanic soil yields an oil that is earthier and less green than its Javanese counterpart.
The formula is macerated for six weeks and cold-filtered before filling. Each flacon is numbered by batch on the underside of the base.
